Working as an Employment Support Professional, you will coach in areas of Vocational Habilitation, Career Planning and/or Individual Employment Services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Employment Support Professionals have a desire to create lasting positive impacts on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, training, and encouraging others to celebrate their achieved outcomes on the path to community employment.
Responsibilities will include hard and soft skills training, assisting participants with identifying and matching strengths, skill sets and interests to employment opportunities that would be a good fit, and helping individuals develop their own employment plan and/or providing supports necessary for an individual to successfully integrate and maintain competitive employment.

Essential Functions:
General:
Deliver services which adhere to CMS, DODD, OOD and CARF rules and standards.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local rules and statues.
Complete all required documentation / reporting in a timely and accurate manner per funding / billing requirements.
Follow all company / funding communication guidelines in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain billable hours requirement for the department.
Maintain an environment free of health and safety hazards.
Uphold the rights, dignity and respect of all persons served as well as promote independence and self-advocacy skills.
Provide input for participant ISP's.
Complete all required service documentation.
Participate in all required meetings and staff training.
Work flexible hours including days, evenings, and/or weekends as needed to complete duties.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Vocational Habilitation:
Coordinate skill training, job-readiness training, resume writing, interviewing techniques, community-based volunteering, paid internship support, job retention strategies and other activities within group and/or individual settings related to employment transition.
Assist participants to explore vocational opportunities.
Career Planning:
Perform Benefits Education and Analysis for assigned caseload.
Facilitate Career Discovery and Career Exploration activities for assigned caseload.
Develop employer contacts for placement of program participants.
Demonstrate to employers the multiple benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities.
Provide information and assistance about the program to worksites, applicants, and participants.
Identify barriers to employment as well as solutions to said barriers.
Conduct brief on-site interviews.
Establish ongoing relationships with employers/worksites in order to provide a continuous supply of applicants when requested as well as monitoring any potential problems, complaints and progress of recently placed participants.
Provide transportation for individuals to access employment opportunities as needed.
Individual Employment Support:
Devise, plan and implement effective job coaching strategies.
Discover participants' motivation and help develop their skills to retain employment.
Work with team to develop a successful fading plan that fosters independence for the participant and includes the following:
Identify natural supports, Train / identify participant and natural support on their roll, Developing a transportation plan, and Lay out with team the process for re-engaging services as needed after successfully closing participant.
Monitor and document participants' progress.
Uphold a positive work environment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and
Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age Must have High School Diploma or equivalent One-year of experience in employment services is preferred Leadership skills in conflict intervention, negotiation and decision-making Strong communication skills, both oral and written Ability to speak effectively and persuasively to participants, employers, and community groups Strong networking skills Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Must demonstrate the ability to work independently Must demonstrate exceptional training and organizational skills Must demonstrate reliability and positive attitude Must have the ability to represent individuals and agency in a professional manner Eligibility
Qualifications:
Required Licensure and Certifications Must submit to a BCII/FBI background check; Nurses Aid & Abuser Registry checks.
Must be able to maintain American Red Cross or equivalent first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio Drivers License; meet and maintain insurability standards to drive for company business.
Must complete eight hours of approved DODD training upon hire.
CESP Certification required or required to become certified within twelve months of hire.
Work Environment This position operates in a variety of service settings to include vocational habilitation, transportation and community employers.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear.
Individual must be able to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
